About the Film
The scene could be intrepid explorers trudging through
unknown territory, confronting exotic creatures. Instead
The Henderson Avenue Bug Patrol follows a group of
children who are diverted from their favorite video
games to join in a search for some new neighbors.
Guided by friend and naturalist Bruce Boardman, the
group embarks on a unique adventure. They see not
only with their eyes but with their imaginations,
discovering that their new neighbors aren't people,
but bugs and small animals. With their curiosity aroused,
the children continue to probe on their own the fascinating
world just outside their doors.
Using animation and
live-action video, the video shows that in any neighborhood
there exists a world of mystery to be discovered and
observed, a mystery to excite the curiosity of every
child. |
