Welcome to  THE LADIES ROOM

XXX presents a unique documentary on  DATE at TIME at Place.

THE LADIES ROOM, a 42-minute documentary by Cynthia Salzman Mondell. The documentary goes behind that public door marked "Ladies" to reveal a world away from men where women feel free of all rules and expectations. While fixing their hair and exchanging lipsticks, women share their uncensored thoughts about a wide range of concerns - sex, men, love, lovers, mothers, body image, marriage and divorce.

Cynthia captured these intimate conversations while wandering in and out of restrooms with a video camera. Without any funding she has pieced together her project like a video quilt for several years. The video is her tribute to the emotional honesty of women.

TELL SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR ORGANIZATION.

Within the confines of a woman’s bathroom, THE LADIES ROOM shows how women spontaneously and temporarily bond and communicate in a way that is unique to their gender. High school girls in their prom dresses lamenting about their dates while they try to keep their strapless dresses from falling down; an 80-year-old woman bragging about her 93-year-old boyfriend; the duo who offer advice to a complete stranger about whether she should divorce her husband; the mother revealing to her two daughters that she never loved their father; the middle-aged women comparing lovers. You find it all in THE LADIES ROOM.
