Over 500 people gave a standing ovation to the film about the Beloved Activist Pancho Medrano at the Latino Cultural Center. All the Mondells worked on this short film .. Hopefully there will be longer one that will inspire young people to become active. . Hardly a moment in American civil rights history does not contain a place for Pancho Medrano. He was at Selma and in Birmingham with Martin Luther King. He was with Cesar Chavez in Delano. It was Pancho who defended Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson from a crazed racist crowd in Dallas.

Recounts the heroic life of John Kizell - seized from his African village and brought to Charles Town, S.C. as a slave in 1773. Eventually, he returned to Africa as a free man to fight the slave trade.
